Seira Morimura (森村 聖良, Morimura Seira) is a former school dropout where the red-haired thug had to be tricked by Coach Shinsaku Kido into joining the team.

She is voiced by Kyōko Hikami (Japanese) and Kelli Cousins (English).

Background

Seira was a star athlete in track and field where she established records for both the 100 m sprint dash and javelin throw. Consequently, she fits in as the leadoff batter on the team.

Etymology

• The name Seira means "holy" (聖) (sei) and "good, virtuous, respectable" (良) (ra).
• Seira's surname Morimura means "forest" (森) (mori) and "town, village" (村) (mura).
