Hiroki Takasugi

Hiroki Takasugi (高杉宏樹, Takasugi Hiroki) is a star baseball player at the Kisaragi Boys' High School and son of a wealthy family who was being groomed as a potential boyfriend and possible fiancé of Izumi Himuro. However, Hiroki has an attraction to the spunky Ryo Hayakawa where he calls her "Ganmo-chan" ("Tofu girl" in the English dub) as it is his favorite part of oden. At the end of the series, it is strongly hinted that he and Ryo will end up together.

He is voiced by Takehito Koyasu (Japanese) and Vic Mignogna (English).

Etymology[]

The name Hiroki means "wide, large" (宏) (hiro) and "tree" (樹) (ki).
Hiroki's surname Takasugi means "tall, high" (高) (taka) and "cedar" (杉) (sugi).
